Historical & Theological Background

Salvation includes deliverance from Satan's dominion. Believers are transferred from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. This is not a gradual process requiring repeated deliverances; it happens at conversion. We are free from Satan's control, though we still face his temptations. This freedom empowers us to live victoriously against sin, the world, and the devil.

African Contextual Commentary

Many African Christians live in perpetual fear and bondage despite professing Christ. They constantly seek deliverance from curses, demons, and spiritual attacks. This is tragic. If you are in Christ, you are free. Satan no longer has dominion over you. You have been transferred to God's kingdom. This does not mean you will never face temptation or spiritual attack, but you are fundamentally free. You can live boldly, confidently, fearlessly. African believers must embrace this freedom: we are not victims of spiritual forces; we are conquerors through Christ. Stop living in fear. Stand firm in your freedom. Resist the devil, and he will flee.
